In this day and age people love video cameras. Those areas where a camera dominated once before video camera has now taken over. But that does not imply that photography is a dying art. No, it still is one of the biggest hobbies around. Photography is not dead because what you can capture with still photos can be an art.You can really capture great moments and emotions with photos. So here goes some tips in taking great photos.
First thing that one must learn in taking shots is to learn to anticipate. For example if you are taking candid shots of people anticipation is key. That has been one of the secrets of taking great photographs as a San Diego photographer. Because by being able to anticipate you can be proactive rather than reactive. In other words, instead of reacting to what is happening you are actively involved. Because when you just react to moments you can miss them so easily. You can take great photos if you would know how to anticipate.
Another thing you want to do is positioning. What I mean by that is if you are taking pictures of big scenes you need to be in a good position. As a San Diego wedding photographer you have to always be in a good position.Because if you do not have a very good location to take shots then your shots would not be as great if you have a great position. People could get in the way of your photo.Or you can also have objects block your view. By being perfectly in position you can be ready for those great moments you know will happen.
Last tip would be to know the flow of events. This has been key in my San Diego event photography business. Because knowing the right schedule of the events would enable you to take good position and you can also anticipate moments. Because when you don’t know what is going on you can miss great photographs so easily.
So those are some of the tips that can make you take better shots. If you notice these tips really aren’t technical. They are more helpful in the artistic side of capturing photos.

One of the best ways to stay organized for a wedding photo shoot is a timeline. A timeline will help you be prepared for all the shots. It will also make a photographer take shots of great moments. So with that in mind we are going to discuss some of the important things that a photographer should do before and during the wedding.
First thing a photographer should do is to determine when he/she could take the family portrait of the couple. As a San Diego wedding photographer I see that the timing of this is different for every wedding. Some people would like to pose for pictures before the wedding. This will allow them to avoid the hectic schedule during and after the wedding.Others prefer to do it during the wedding. You would perform better because you are more prepared if you just determine when the family would like to take the pictures.
Next you will want to know when the wedding is starting. This would let you prepare for shots of the guests that are arriving. As a San Diego photographer this is a great time to capture candid shots of your guests. You will also have ample time to get ready for the ceremony.
Last thing to remember is to know what time the reception will be.This is important since it would let you know how much time you can have in the wedding itself. In other words, you would know how much more shots you can take in the church or wherever the wedding is held before heading to the reception. Doing wedding as a San Diego event photography allows me to coordinate this big event to run smoothly. With these kind of events you do not want to be disorganized.
There goes some of the most important things you should put in a wedding timeline. It should help you be better prepared to take some great shots. A wedding day is some of the most frantic moments ever.It puts a lot of pressure on everybody involved. You would not want to be one of them as the wedding photographer. You want to be relaxed so you can do the best job possible.

One of the biggest jobs any photographer can get is as a wedding photographer. And one of the most popular hobbies around is photography. Not everyone does it for money.Wedding photography is very exciting for those who are still an amateur in this thing. So if you have a friend getting married you can surprise them with some shots that may be better than the hired photographer. So here are some advice on improving your wedding photography.
These are some tips for an amateur photographer but they are some tips I have gained doing San Diego wedding photographer work. So if you are a professional they could help as well too.Because as mentioned earlier in the article, doing wedding shoots is one of the most satisfying things that can happen to a photographer.
So, the first thing that you can do is to psyche yourself up to be in the moment. What am I implying when I said be in the moment?Well, almost all of us know the feeling of being in a wedding. The events here are planned to the last detail. But a lot of emotions happen during those events even if they are planned. So you should be ready for those unplannned emotions and take them. Those shots that have emotions in them will be the best among all the photos that you will be taking. In my portfolio as a San Diego photographer you can see that to be the case.
Another thing to take in mind is that in a wedding people will always be moving. So do not focus on taking still shots.Capturing the movements of the people in the wedding would result to some of your best photos. It can be hard to capture moving subjects but it is possible. Of course I had to hone my skills doing San Diego event photography to be able to do this. But once you capture some shots that are more than still shots you will love it.You can outshoot their hired photographer. It would be great to achieve since you are still an amateur. Plus you will be able to share those great photos with your friends.Plus, who knows, it might just be the start of your business.
