Money is one of the most important thing in this planet. It is a must-have of everyone’s life. Everybody wants it and everybody needs it. It can be the next to love to “make the world go round”.

The primary use of money is a medium of exchange. When money was not yet created, people use things to trade. Animals, fruits and whatever they considered somewhat important were utilized in order to exchange for the goods needed as agreed by two individuals. Using barter as a medium of exchange was not continued because the transferability of goods is not enough. Aside from the limited resources people have, it is also inefficient, tiring and confusing. Considering if the other person wants a meat in an exchange for a bunch of grapes? Meat and grapes cannot be equal right? Barter was changed after the Phoenicians invented the metal money in 1500 BC. Now every country has a currency with different values from other countries.

In these modern times, one cannot live without money since money has become the source of survival. People think that money is everything. Money lives within us and we realize our dreams with it. We condemn it and we love it. Money can make us do crazy stuffs. Money is a symbol for the thought that nothing in the world is free. Jobs come as a blessing for us to acquire and earn money.

In what way does money become negative to man?? Does money really change a person? It absolutely does. What makes it negative is the person’s love and greed for money. Some people make the money the source of their happiness. In this world, money is not only the important thing. Negative effects of money could also destroy marriage and family. A major conflict can start if the one providing the family fails to do it. It’s one major disadvantage if the cuople makes money as a primary source of marriage. In the society, money is the root of all evil. It causes corruption among political officials, kidnapping, smuggling, robbery and even killing just to satisfy the greed.

We must know the right thing to do? We must come into realization that living is not all about money. Satisfying happiness has other ways too. We don’t have anything when we were born. When we die, we will be bringing nothing. People should realize that money is not the only important thing in life. Happiness and good memories together with your loved ones is what really matters.
