There are many things that you may not think your company needs when it does. I am not talking about the boring office furniture or the very dull ergonomic chair, but of some of the things you could use to brighten up those dull serviced offices to make the employees a bit happier.

Coffee Machine

This sounds like a simple thing for a company have yet many places do still not have one of these which actually causes problems for people. If you think about it, not only with the employees be happier with better quality tea and coffee but it will work out for you too as they will be spending less time making the drinks!

Pool Table

They may be expensive, they may not be something you as the employer thinks is necessary but things like this actually increase the level of happiness of the employees. Of course you could have pool tournaments every so often within the office and it would only be used in breaks and lunch hours or after the long day has finished.

Television

This again is something that is likely to improve the moods of the people working for you. If you are a company that needs to be keeping an eye on the news then stick the news channel on during the hours that are not lunch so employees can keep up to date on things. The best thing to do here is to stick on the subtitles to make sure nobody gets annoyed.

Games Consoles

This is something that our office has two of including the Wii and the Xbox 360. It means that work can well and truly be forgtten about during the lunch hour which is exactly what you need to happen.

So although these may seem like big investments they will actually help you out by improving the morale rates of your workforce.

There are many gadgets out on the market just for the office. What are the ones you really should think about getting?

USB Gadgets

There are many USB gadgets out there and they work really well in an office full of computers. One of my personal favourites is the USB fridge as it can keep a normal sized can of drink cool by simply plugging it into a USB slot. You can also get something like a USB cup warmer that will keep your drink nice and warm for you as it is often easy to forget about a drink when you are doing some really in depth work.

Sound Hats

What if you are not allowed music at work? Put one of these hats on and your boss will just think you are cold in these winter monthes when you are listening to music. When of course you know you are listening to your favourite tunes.

Stress Balls

Okay so they aren’t really as important gadgets as the previous ones but they sure as hell come in handy if you turn up for work in a very bad mood. Useful if you are late, get told off by the boss or if you are the boss and want to bash some skulls.

USB Hubs

These will provide you with many places to plug USB bits and bobs into. These things are cool because they are made for everyone in that you can get one in the form of a Ferrari or in the form of the tardis.

All of these things can make a difference to those boring serviced offices and if these gadgets aren’t enough for you then look into getting some more interesting office furniture. So buy office furniture that is a bit different to see a difference in the way people work, you never know it could make a difference

An office building is one of the first things that someone visiting the company will actually see which is why it is important that you think about the building before you even think about the things inside of it.

Of course if you are looking to get your first office it can be costly to actually get something that is a bit different so this really isn’t for you, look for something simple for the first office. If you are into expanding the business then this is what you need.

Whatever you do, do not go for the first place you see that looks the same as your previous place, look for somewhere nice. Go in and look at something that companies do not have.

House

A house could be the next step for your company. You have at least two floors in a home and more if you want to expand up into the loft. This basically means you could have three floors of people working in just one house. It is great as it comes with a kitchen and a bathroom and also looks a bit different to the normal offices.

Church

There are actually quite a few churches out there that are looking to sell up for many reasons. A church really is something very different indeed and is something that hardly any companies in the country actually have. Having something like this gives you an advantage over your competitiors as you will be known for the awesome building.

Custom

Why not think about designing your own office. Many people have and it has proved to be very successful for hundreds of companies. Put a stop to the serviced offices, get rid of all of the awful ergonomic chair and get some decent office seating.
