Car Transport to Spain

Most European removals specialists will have specialised car transporters to ship cars to/from the UK and Spain via Southampton Purfleet, London , Dover, Immingham, Hull, Ipswich and Harwich docks. However there are more exotic ways of transporting cars and other vehicles worldwide.

Vehicle transportation companies deliver and collect cars, boats and motorcycles all over Great Britain and Ireland and can deliver or collect vehicles to Spain, France, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Portugal or virtually any other European country. There are also US based moving companies too.

Most can collect and deliver door to door or you can deliver or collect your car from the docks saving you a fair amount of money, as its the ‘each end’ transportation that really adds to the cost ov shipping your vehicle overseas.

A lot of companies who transport cars to Spain will also be general removers or furniture removal companies, so you will be able to ship all your belongings over to your new country using the same carrier.

It’s not just cars and bikes, but boats and yachts too. If you have a boat or yacht that you would rather not sail half way round the world, then ask your transport company for a quote, most will be glad of the business.

So, cars, motorbikes, boats, yachts and trucks can go on a lorry and then onboard ship to get your preferred method of transport to your destination country.

Your furniture may well have to go in a different type of container, but can usually be shipped by the same company.

Knowing Depression Symptoms

Everyone gets depressed from time to time; the loss of a job or financial problems or an argument with one’s spouse can make even the strongest of persons to feel sad and blue.  But while these things usually go away after some time or can be addressed appropriately, it’s important to understand clinical depression symptoms so that one can get proper treatment in time.

Left unchecked, severe cases of depression can lead to neglect of one’s responsibilities, family, career, personal care, and even to suicidal thoughts and tendencies. So what are some common clinical depression symptoms that you need to consider?

First, remember that while everyone gets depressed from time to time, true clinical depression symptoms are chronic and long-lasting. This is more than just having a bad day; true clinical depression lasts for weeks, months, and even one’s entire lifetime.

You also find it difficult to forget depression when you are doing something interesting or even sleeping. Patients also get affected due to the weather conditions. This is a constant and unavoidable diesease.

If you are now not interested in doing something which you used to love spending time on, then you surely need to consult a doctor. Outside factors like a financial problem or an unsuccessful marriage all these things will also come to an end.

But with clinical depression symptoms, simply removing negative outside factors is not enough to fix the condition or alleviate the symptoms.  It’s easy to think that a person is depressed because they have a stressful job but someone with true clinical depression is going to feel this way no matter what their job or family life or anything else.

Due to depression, patients often tend to lack interest in anything, including one’s family, career, and even enjoyable activities and hobbies. This is all because they don’t have enough of natural motivation in them.

Patients do not have the self confidence to get involved with their career. They don’t have the same level of emotion towards their own family and friends. Some patients who face severe clinical depression also tend to neglect their own personal care and hygiene.

All the things which they were interested in before now they have lost interest in all of them. They don’t maintain enough motivation in them.

You need to consult a doctor without any hesitation when any of these depression symptoms become severe or begin to interfere with a person’s everyday activities, family life, and especially with their health overall.

For the betterment of your thinking aspect during the course of depression you have to consult a doctor or look for holistic cure for depression. The doctor will recommend not only prescription drugs but also courses of therapy.

A Lesson from History About Tax Law, Part 3: Taxes and The Rosetta Stone

W. Marc Gilfillan

W. Marc Gilfillan, CPA, NC, individual and business CPA and Tax expert, shares about the history of taxes…

The Rosetta Stone, unearthed by Napoleon, was perhaps the absolute most helpful Egyptian archaeological discovery in history. The Stone had the same text in three different languages: Egyptian hieroglyphs, demotic (known as Egyptian script) and Greek. Using the Greek version, archaeologists figured out how to decipher the demotic and then the hieroglyphs. But the question is sustained: Egyptians had paper, named papyrus, so why was the writing etched in stone? Also, why 3 languages? And why Greek?

The Stone has been in existence before 3000 B.C. The Rosetta Stone was created around 200 B.C. during the reign of Ptolemy V (a king of Greek descent). So where did the Pharaohs go? At this point in history, Egypt was taken over in 700 B.C. by the Assyrians, then the Persians, and finally the Greeks in 330 B.C. After existing for 2000+ years, Egypt was in decline.

The Ptolemy’s were by and large good rulers, but around 200BC, during which the Rosetta Stone was etched, Egypt had just concluded a ten year long civil war. The civil struggle broke out because of exorbitant and oppressing taxes strengthened by tough Greek tax collectors. As the war ended there was still much unrest. Ptolemy V created a Proclamation of Peace which granted general amnesty for all rebels and tax debtors, reigned in taxation practices, ceased forced draft into the navy, and reinstituted tax exemption to the priesthood, temples, and their crops and lands, as it had been in the reign of the great pharaohs. This was a great edge and financial windfall for the priests and temples and they wanted to make certain first all people knew it and, secondly, did not want it to be taken away again at some time in the future.

As a result, “Rosetta Stones” were carved and put at the entrance of every temple in Egypt. The Rosetta stones acted as warnings to all that tax exemption had been given to the priesthood and this temple and was a “Do Not Enter” proclamation to curtail the lawlessness of the king’s tax men. This still begs the question: why written in stone? The answer is because the priests wanted to make sure it wouldn’t disappear or able to be simply destroyed. Another question was why write it in three languages? The Stone was carved in 3 languages so that everyone could read and follow the message the priests wanted to spread to everyone of Egypt. It was written in Greek to be very clear to the king’s tax men that they couldn’t even go inside the temple gates.

As a result of the most important Egyptian archaeological find in history, the stone unraveled the weird language of the Egyptians, made us capable of discovering the key to hieroglyphic writing and subsequently the key to unlocking the mystery of ancient Egypt and the understanding of the Egyptian way of life for 3000 years was, in truth, a tax document.
