Saving Your Pets From Separation Anxiety

Something that pet owners know all too well is that pets such as dogs and cats have their own individual personalities and quirks much the same as children do. But another thing that they have in common is their susceptibility to separation anxiety and anxiety attacks. This is especially true with young puppies who may begin to whine as you leave for work on Monday after a weekend of being with them.

Handling animal anxiety disorders panic attacks

When you bring a new puppy into the home, it’s not unusual to experience a bit of guilt at abandoning him at home alone, especially for the first time. Normally after a few weeks he’ll know that when you leave for the day, that you’ll return later in the day. In the first few weeks, however, your puppy may experience severe separation anxiety.

A few puppy owners may attempt to sneak out thinking that if their dog doesn’t see them leave, it’ll cause them less concern. But when the puppy eventually begins to look for you, which he will, and can’t find you – he may be driven to a state of panic far greater than if you had simply patted him on the head and let him see you leave.

While an older dog may go through separation anxiety as well, in these cases it could indicate a much bigger problem. This is particularly when you’ve obtained the dog from another owner or a shelter. It may be that something n the dog’s past that has traumatized him. It may be that a previous owner left him alone for a period of time without food or companionship – leaving the puppy to fend for himself. Whatever the reason, if your puppy has a separation anxiety that’s this extreme – he’ll undoubtedly take a bit longer to adjust to your leaving and returning without experiencing stress.

Search Engine Optimization and Marketing

Search engine marketing simply means promoting a site online. In this internet age there are numerous online sites for various products and services. Simply having an online site will trim down your site just to me a mere presence in the World Wide Web. Websites must have appropriate publicity to make new sales and profit through these sales. There are a number of successful search engine marketing strategies that can help your business grow by leaps and bounds. The search engine marketing industry is consistently evolving, sometimes at a pace that makes it hard to believe that search engine marketing services can stay on top of all the latest developments. The one constant for search engine marketing firms, and for the industry in general, is change–usually for the better, sometimes for the worse, but almost always significant. The industry is not for the faint-hearted or those who abhor change. However, savvy search engine marketing firms try to look ahead to anticipate trends. Here are my predictions of issues that search engine marketing services will face in the short term.

Professional search engine marketing isn’t rocket science, although many seem to think that getting adequate ranking in the search engines is a complex and impossible task. Without a doubt, search engine marketing is one of the most complex types of marketing because the search engines’ rules and preferences evolve constantly. But, considering that the majority of website visitors find the websites they visit through the search engines, search engine marketing is absolutely the best medium for internet marketing.

Before you make the critical decision to hire or not to hire search engine marketing service providers, be sure you have weighed the pros and cons as they relate to your particular situation. After all, each and every woman-owned business is unique, so what works for one business owner may or may not be right for you.

Just like search engine optimization, there is no “silver bullet” for pay-per click advertising, either. Instead, the formula for PPC success is in well-placed bids (what you will pay to have your ad show up) combined with meaningful landing pages (where people go when they click on your ad).

4 RULES FOR NEW ENTREPRENEURS – PRACTICAL TIPS FOR STARTING RIGHT

It’s a great time to be an entrepreneur—in the last decade, technology has leveled the playing field and propelled an entrepreneurial revolution. As an entrepreneur, you now have more access to information that enables you to make more intelligent choices more quickly. You have an advantage over big businesses in that you’re lighter, more flexible, and faster on your feet. You can target new markets more quickly, and you can turn on a dime.

But being a successful entrepreneur requires that you look at the big picture and follow a plan through from beginning to end. Rieva Lesonsky, editor-in-chief of Entrepreneur Magazine gives some practical guidelines that can help you when beginning your own enterprise:

1.Don’t Quit Your Day Job.                                                                             Consider starting your business part-time, especially if it’s online, while you’re working and have a steady income. It usually takes six months to a year to get a business going and you don’t want your ability to make your house payment to hinge upon your company being an overnight success. Start with what you can manage, financially and time-wise, and scale up as your business grows.

2.Find Your Niche.
The days of general stores are over. Particularly online, consumers are looking for stores that specialize. You have to find a need—something a specific group of people want, but can’t get at the big chain stores—and fill it. Advises Lesonsky, “You can’t compete with the big guys, so you have to find where the big guys aren’t and go into your niches.”

3.Have an Online Presence.
Even if you’re not planning to start an online retail business, consider that the internet can still play a valuable role in your company. Having an online presence eliminates the limitations of physical location and broadens your customer base by, literally, millions. It’s also a great tool for promoting yourself and letting people, even in your own area, know that you’re there, and what you’re doing.

4.Refuse to Quit.
Successful entrepreneurship requires creativity, energy, and a drive to keep going when you fail. Few people realize that before Bill Gates created the extremely successful Microsoft 3.0, he created a Microsoft 1.0 and 2.0, both of which flopped—but he kept at it. And that determination and refusal to give up is what will separate successful entrepreneurs from unsuccessful ones. Says Lesonsky, “Arm yourself with optimism to get beyond the ‘No’ or the trouble. There’s nothing wrong in failure—just don’t repeat the same mistake!”
