Points to put in a wedding photography timeline

One of the best ways to stay organized for a wedding photo shoot is a timeline.  A timeline will help you be prepared for all the shots.It will also make a photographer take shots of great moments.So with that in mind we are going to discuss some of the important things that a photographer should do before and during the wedding.

First thing a photographer should do is to determine when he/she could take the family portrait of the couple.  As a San Diego wedding photographer I see that the timing of this is different for every wedding.Some people would like to pose for pictures before the wedding.This will allow them to avoid the hectic schedule during and after the wedding.Others prefer to do it during the wedding.You would perform better because you are more prepared if you just determine when the family would like to take the pictures.

Next you will want to know when the wedding is starting.This would let you prepare for shots of the guests that are arriving.  As a San Diego photographer this is a great time to capture candid shots of your guests.You will also have ample time to get ready for the ceremony.

Last thing to remember is to know what time the reception will be.This is important since it would let you know how much time you can have in the wedding itself.In other words, you would know how much more shots you can take in the church or wherever the wedding is held before heading to the reception.  Doing wedding as a San Diego event photography allows me to coordinate this big event to run smoothly.With these kind of events you do not want to be disorganized.

There goes some of the most important things you should put in a wedding timeline. It should help you be better prepared to take some great shots.  A wedding day is some of the most frantic moments ever.It puts a lot of pressure on everybody involved.You would not want to be one of them as the wedding photographer.  You want to be relaxed so you can do the best job possible.

Google Authority and Backlinks

how to get more backlinks

OK, this is a multi-faceted concept and I want to emphasise it’s not clear cut. But here is what I know in my work at the Backlinks clinic:

Authority – simplified

The more authority your site has the better you will rank on Google. Authority means that people trust you and your information. The good news is that authorities trusted by people are also recognised as trustworthy by Google. A good illustration is the .edu and .gov domain extensions. These domains imply they are credible sources of information and it’s an established fact that as far as Google is concerned backlinks from these domains to your site will contribute authority to your site. Another good example is Wikipedia as the entries here are mostly contributed to by group of humans as opposed to a single marketer.

So it follows that authority is largely influenced by the source of your backlinks and if authoritative content link to your web pages then you receive their influence and as far as Google is concerned you become more authoritative and so the trust in your content by Google goes up.

How Google declares what is and isn’t authoritative is undisclosed for good reason and falls in line with Google’s philosophy of “Do no evil”. The last thing the net needs is someone exploiting the methods that Google untilzes in its efforts to try and bring some order to probably the most important technological resource of our times.

How not to get Authority and Backlinks

In the same vein it’s worth my while stating some underhand sources and practices of building backlinks that Google not only disapproves of but appears to be acting to ‘’categorize as illegitimate authorities. In no particular order of merit, the common examples are:

  • Paid backlinks – hubs where individuals buy and sell backlinks
  • Comment spam – entries that contain links on web sites that are just not related to the main content.
  • Low quality and *duplicate content – ‘scraped’ or copied
  • Unnatural growth – there are a myriad of ways that this is achievable, Google isn’t dumb. Any sudden rise in the amount of backlinks is going to show up on Google’s radar, specifically if it’s a recently registered domain.
  • Backlinks from ill reputed web pages – these are particularly nasty as you are guilty by association – need I say more.

*There is another factor where I may be on shakey ground, but major media portals appear to get a lot of authority and I have definitely seen significant quantities of the same article over and over again on different portals with no penalties, I am still monitoring this, only as some of the results I am seeing defy the consistent behaviors I usually expect to see. More on this is in a future article….

Techniques To Start A Business With Less Than A Thousand Bucks

In the past, many businesses have grown to what they are today with very little investment.  You can still do that today.  Where you spend your money a critical success factor of your business especially if you have a small budget.

Here are some techniques to build your business with almost zero start up costs. Some techniques below require a lot of effort but are very effective.

1. Promote your skills and talents through forums and other social networking sites. Use forums and social networking websites to advertise your products and services. Understand the terms and conditions of each website to avoid issues with webmasters and moderators.
2. If you don’t already own a computer, purchase a used or refurbished computer. Wait for a couple of months for the computer prices to go down before buying.
3. To bring traffic to your online business, you can start a PPC campaign and spend a small amount of money.
4. Submit articles like this one to various e-zines for free traffic.  Several of the examples are in commission payload review documents in the private member area.
5. Use cheap but professional looking templates and graphics for your website.
6. If you sell items by the piece, do not purchase them unless someone actually ordered already. Make sure you include the added time frame when you estimate the expected delivery date for your customers.
7. Starting a service business means you don’t have to invest in any initial inventory.
8. Operating solely on the Internet is the best way to dramatically reduce startup costs.

As an entrepreneur, you will have plan carefully before spending your valued resources. If you do this right, you could have a successful business before you know it.  Start now and reap the fruits tomorrow.
